HVAC/Maintenance Technician

HVAC/Maintenance Technicians at Edwards want to build long lasting customer relationships and like to repair a variety of residential and commercial systems. HVAC/Maintenance Technicians should understand basic HVAC & Refrigeration Systems, want to continue to learn new skills, understand basic math and have a deep desire to be someone their co-workers can depend on.

- Preference will be shown to those who obtain their MN Class B CDL
Essential Functions:
- Performs typical maintenance tasks to support the customer home mechanical systems and Edwards Oil and Propane/Lucky Seven General Store facility systems.
- Diagnoses and repairs HVAC equipment in the customer's home and gives the customer an accurate estimate of the cost of repair if applicable.
- Uses basic tools or instruments to assemble, adjust, calibrate, repair or test various products regarding the HVAC equipment.
- Installs HVAC appliances and Propane Gas/Fuel Oil distribution systems.
- Obtains HAZMAT Endorsement, and at minimum Class B CDL License within 90 days of employment.
- Is responsible for inventory compliance on assigned Service Vehicle.
- Installation, maintenance, repair of refrigeration, heating and air conditioning systems.
- Performs preventative maintenance on Edwards Oil HVAC systems, Lucky 7 General Store Coolers and Lucky 7 HVAC Systems.
- Keep company vehicle and equipment clean, and in good working order and condition.
- Ability to communicate, read and understand written text of a technical nature in order to answer questions, solve problems, make decisions or complete job tasks.
- Ensures complete protection of customer's property by installing and servicing Heating (HVAC) equipment in a safe and professional manner.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school Degree or Equivalent
- Mechanical Aptitude such as Small Engine Repair, Millwright or HVAC.
- CFC Certification
- Professional Appearance and Personality
- 1-2 Years Field Experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Boilers License
- MN/WI Class B CDL License with Tanker, Hazardous Materials and Air Brake Endorsement.
- EPA Certification
- HVAC Certificate/Degree from Accredited HVAC Program
- 4-5 Years Experience HVAC-R installation and repair.
Weekly Hour Range:
- 45 – 50 hours Weekly
Salary:
- $61,000 - $72,000 Annually
