Fuel Transport Dispatch/Maintenance Planner

Edwards Oil, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated, dependable, mechanically inclined, and results driven person to make a difference for the customers we serve. Our Class A Tanker Transport Dispatcher should like to put pieces of a complex puzzle together to meet our commitments. Our dispatchers arrange for the distribution of products that make everyday life easier for our customers! Class A Tanker Transport Dispatchers at Edwards care about our fleet & teammates. Class A Tanker Transport Dispatchers should understand basic maintenance procedures, feel comfortable with e-logging systems, and truck equipment repairs as you will assist with maintenance planning and truck repairs. Class A Tanker Transport Dispatchers must be highly ethical and ensure their drivers equipment and logs are in compliance with State, Federal and Local law.

Daily activities include:

• Dispatch drivers to ensure efficient use of company fleet and independent contractors.
• Maintain relationships with Independent Contractors.
• Maintain record of mileage, fuel used, repairs made, and other expenses.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with government rules and regulations and files paperwork in support of this compliance as needed.

Ideal candidates for this position will have:

• Previous trucking industry experience especially managing/dispatching drivers
• Proficient with computers
• Knowledge of DOT safety requirements
• Ability to tolerate high stress situations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to work in team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
• Ability to tolerate high stress situations.
• Dependable.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work professionally and effectively with a diverse group of individuals, both internal and external customers.
• Ability to make sound decisions.
